Hello Flashers and visitors. Welcome to Flash Fiction Friday where writers challenge themselves to create a 100 word story based on a designated picture. The Fight
Jake jogged lightly on his feet, listening as smack poured from his opponent’s mouth.
“You’re going down. I’m knocking out The Hammer.”
Jake gave the new guy his customary smirk and raised the chain above his head in challenge. “You’ll kiss the links like everyone else.”
Women screamed in response to the play on his customary salute. Soon the chant of “Kiss the Links! Kiss the Links!” Filled the hall.
Red stained the beefy fighter’s cheeks. The Emcee grabbed Sam “Striker” Calhoun. Jake lowered his chain and tipped his chin. Tonight’s fight would show why The Hammer reigned as champion.
This is a good take on the picture. I would like to see you expand this more into a longer story.
