#8Sunday Something New part 7

Thanks for all the help last week with the name game, warriors 🙂 I’m going to use the heroine’s name as is and call the other character by her full name as much as possible to eliminate the rhyming twin effect. LOL. This week I’m continuing the story. For those new to www.wewriwa.com, each week authors get together and share a work in progress or a current book. It’s a perfect time to sample a bunch of books at once and give a new author a try. Below we continue my heroine’s frantic attempt to escape a bit of a blaze.

“We need to get to the emergency transport,” Cellie gasped out.

“It’s on the other side of The Reina. Most of the blasts hit on that area.”

Cellie pressed her lips together in a firm line. “We don’t have any other option and I refuse to give up.”

“Probably damaged, making this frantic run a waste,” the Queen puffed out.

Cellie turned a corner, ignoring Cordie’s complaint. Jax’s words played through her head. ‘In a life or death situation, you do whatever it takes, Cellie. You’ll be surprised at the survival instinct.’

I’m almost done this story and it looks like its going to be novella length 35-40k. Cover art will be scheduled next as a reward to help me make it through the editing process. Oh, and I have the title. It’s Love Like No Other with a 2016 release date. I’ve already taken a few notes on the follow up story with Cordie 🙂 🙂

Another exciting scene with a great glimpse into Cellie’s character. ( One thing I’d reconsider is the repeat of the unnecessary “out” in “gasped out” and “puffed out”.)

Cellie’s right – never give up. It’s amazing what you can do in just a few seconds. Excellent excerpt!
