Have you ever had that shivery feeling that something big was going to happen? You weren’t sure if it was going to be good or bad but your stomach knotted with anticipation. Last Saturday that happened to me. I was antsy on and off in the morning and couldn’t figure out why. Then I decided to check my email and imagine my surprise.
I had a notification that my WIP made it as a finalist in the Duel on the Delta contest I entered. This was definitely the highlight of my day since I remember how nervous I was at the time when I entered. It was the first time I’d actually had strangers view my writing and opened it up for honest critique. I’m not even going to worry about the final rounds yet and instead I’m going to take a moment and just enjoy the sense of accomplishment. One more box I can check off on my writing goal list this year.
I’m giving myself one week to marinate in the feeling and then it’s back to the writing pad. LOL. I may even test out my new monogrammed ink pen for an added boost of mojo. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my good news.
